Megan Buczynski, PE, LEED AP®

Principal Civil Engineer

Meg balanced her love of sport and design graduating from Brown University in 2002 with her Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering and playing four years of Varsity Field Hockey where she was a Team Captain her Junior and Senior years.

As Principal Civil Engineer at Activitas, Meg leads multi-disciplinary teams on various projects, including site design and high-end athletic venues. Her collaboration with landscape architects ensures seamless and functional design solutions.

A mother of three, Meg finds that organization, communication, and good humor are key elements to success. Meg brings this same positive attitude to work each day, and truly enjoys listening to and working with her clients to understand their needs and project goals. Her affable management style fosters a strong trust with her colleagues and clients, who include private developers, municipalities, secondary school boards and college athletic departments.

Meg is one of the nation’s leading women in athletic facility design and is particularly inspired by the growth of recreation and physical fitness programs throughout municipalities and secondary schools. She is excited to begin her tenure as the Board Chair for the American Sports Builders Association (ASBA) Board of Directors in December 2025, helping to lead an industry dedicated to the idea of “Build it Right”.
