Megan Buczynski, PE, LEED AP®

Principal Civil Engineer

Meg received her Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Brown University in 2002, where she was also the two-time captain of the Field Hockey team.

As the Principal Civil Engineer at Activitas, Meg leads multi-disciplinary teams on all of the firm’s project types, from traditional site design to high-end athletic venues. Continued collaboration between the firm’s civil engineers and landscape architects throughout each phase of a project results in seamless design solutions that are both interesting and functional. A mother of three, Meg finds that organization, communication, and good humor are key elements to success. Meg brings this same positive attitude to work each day, and truly enjoys listening to and working with her clients to understand their needs and project goals. Her affable management style fosters a strong trust with her colleagues and clients, who include private developers, municipalities, secondary school boards and college athletic departments.

Meg is one of the nation’s leading women in athletic facility design, and is particularly inspired by the growth of recreation and physical fitness programs throughout municipalities and secondary schools. Through her position on the American Sports Builders Association’s Board of Directors, she plays a critical national role in making sure the facilities used for the programs are safe and age-appropriate.
