Ben’s interest in design and horticulture stems from his upbringing along Maine’s ecologically diverse coastline, and led him to pursue a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Rhode Island. Following his magna cum laude graduation in 2009, he returned to Maine and focused on large scale regional and community planning before joining Activitas in early 2013. Ben has expansive knowledge of the native New England plant palette and has a passion for creating environmentally responsible and user-oriented landscapes. He excels in graphic design presentation, utilizing hand sketches, computer generated models and digital renderings. He is a highly efficient and organized manager of both design and construction phase documentation, allowing for efficient project management throughout all phases of the design process.
